Research

CHNet research activities are supervised by the National Scientific Committee 5 (CSN5), devoted to technological research experiments.

Experiments in CSN5

  • CHNet_imaging
  • Implementation and development of analytical methods for elemental imaging in archaeometry, based on X-rays and accelerated particles beams

  • CHNet_lilliput
  • Optimisation of Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) to succeed in dating tiny samples (mass of few μg)

  • CHNet_tandem
  • Implementation, development and optimisation of techniques like muonic spectroscopy and prompt gamma to characterise materials in the archaeometrical field. Some measurements are planned at the archaeological site of Sant’Imbenia (Alghero- Sassari)
